If you’ve never co-worked before, I promise it’s not entirely scary. It’s a quiet, focused time where we can be held accountable just by being present and showing up to work.
I think you’ll be amazed at just how much you can get done during one of these!
Common Questions about co-working
Does this really do anything? Ah, yes. I thought the same thing. But join us and you’ll see… it can do wonders to help snap you into “work mode.”
What should I work on?
Anything you feel like you can accomplish within the timeframe: go through your inbox, read a chapter in a book, do some homework, plan your content calendar, mind map your next offering, pay your bills, etc.
Do I need to stay the whole time?
Nope! If you got what you wanted to get done, done? Pop out! Go for a walk, move your body, grab some dinner. Celebrate a task being done however you want to!
Do I have to talk? Or keep my camera on?
We spend the first 15 minutes going around stating what we’re working on. If your camera is on, I’ll call on you. If your camera is off, I won’t. During the working time we are all muted and many of us choose to keep our cameras on for that “group work dynamic.” Totally up to you!
What’s a Pomodoro?
Technically, it’s a tomato. In context for this co-working session it’s a method of time blocking our working session: we’ll work for 25 minutes, then rest for 5, and we’ll do this cycle three times for a total of 90 minutes working. The last 15 minutes of the co-work time we’ll again go around to discuss how we did and celebrate coming together to accomplish our goals.
