Social Media for All
June 16 @ 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EDT
Why should you make your content accessible? How do you even do it? And is it really as complicated and expensive as it seems (spoilers – no!). We’ll be covering the basics of accessibility on social media from alt-text to captions to language and emojis so your socials will be welcoming for as many people as possible.
Note: accessibility recommendations and requirements discussed for social media can be applied to all aspects of your web presence! Even if you have left social media, this is a great opportunity to learn more about how to create more accessible content for your website, email, and more!
Already have questions? Can’t attend live? Leave your questions in the #accessibilty channel on Slack!
About Your Speaker
Alexis (she/her) is a social media guide and founder of Social Media for Humans, a movement changing the way social media works from the inside. She busts myths and provides an honest, jargon-free explanation of algorithms and strategy to help business owners and individuals use social media effectively, ethically, and in a way that’s sustainable for both the human running the business and the planet.
Outside of trying to ruin Zuck’s master plan, she enjoys walking, dog agility with TiLi, her Bichon Frise, and playing chess.
