It sucks.
I’m here to be the one to tell you straight up, yes, you are right: your website sucks.
The colors are sinful, the photography is crappy, and the typography is hard to read. The copy is confusing. The background is garish.
Everything about it is wrong.
It just… sucks. You are absolutely correct.
You know why?
Perfect is temporary.
Perfection is a result of fear. Fear is from a lack of clarity.
So stop.
Just. Stop.
Stop tweaking colors.
Stop fucking with fonts.
Stop moving widgets about the page.
Stop looking for that “perfect” plugin, or that “dreamy” template.
Fucking, stop.
Take that Fool’s leap of faith and put your website out there. Embrace it. Shower it with adoration and share it with the world. I don’t care what stage it’s at.
It will change. It will evolve. But until you share the damn thing, you’ll be working in a silo of self-doubt.
Does it work? Will it work? What if something goes wrong?
Shit breaks. Shit stops working. Something is going to go wrong.
It does and will happen.
Fix it. Move on.
Give yourself permission to learn as you go.
Take a deep breath and just get online, witch.
