ConvertKit is the email marketing service we use for The Fiery Well.
The Fiery Well recommends ConvertKit for several things: landing pages, emails, digital product sales, payment plan sales, growing your audience through their network, and more.
Their Free plan is the ideal starting point for bloggers, creators, and small business witches who want to grow and own their audience (i.e. not build their business on top of social media). When you are ready for Automation (for those lovely welcome sequences and evergreen offers) prices are competitive depending on how large your audience is.
For witches wanting to ditch Substack, but continue to grow their readership, the ConvertKit Creator Network is a great alternative. I’ve grown my list significantly since joining, and while not a perfect system, they are constantly working to improve & grow it.
ConvertKit’s email templates are growing in functionality and design, but their intrinsic reporting is still fairly lacking until you upgrade to their highest-paid tier: Creator Pro.
Cons:
- Can’t mass edit or delete tags and segments
- Can’t delete Product tags (clutters the interface; not a data problem)
- Creator Network: no control over who can recommend you
Pros:
- Tight integration with WordPress
- Improved email analytics and reports
- Free commerce options, including payment plans
- Strong deliverability – emails hit inboxes
- Made with creators and small business owners in mind
- Ease of sending one-off emails
- Customizable templates
- Creator Network for growing your audience and network
